Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at the San Raffaele Hotel Restaurant & Resort was a mixed bag. While the spacious room comfortably accommodated my family of five, and the surroundings in Pollino's Park were simply beautiful, I found myself missing some basic comforts. Eros, the young staff member, was incredibly kind and tried really hard to serve us drinks despite the bar being closed, but the beds left much to be desired-definitely not the best for a sound sleep after a long day of exploring! Although the hotel had potential with its picturesque views and seasonal swimming pool, we faced a few hiccups during our stay. The breakfast, consisting mainly of pre-packed cakes, was less than exciting for an adventurous family like ours, and with the restaurant being closed, we had to venture out for meals. While it's great for those seeking a quiet retreat in nature, I'd recommend keeping your expectations in check when it comes to amenities.
